Dr. Ann Della Maggiore is a board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist. Dr. Della Maggiore has spent the last five years (2012-2017) working as a faculty internal medicine specialist at UC Davis – recognized by QS World University Rankings as the best veterinary school in the world in 2015 and 2016. Dr. Della Maggiore has taught numerous veterinarians and is recognized by veterinary medical students and her colleagues as an exceptional specialist. Dr. Della Maggiore was recognized as both a favorite resident and favorite faculty member by previous graduating classes during her time at UC Davis.

Dr. Della Maggiore completing her undergraduate training in 2003 at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in Animal Science and then earned her veterinary degree from University of California, Davis in 2008. She went on to complete a veterinary internship program in small animal medicine and surgery at a 24-hour pet emergency and specialty practice in Ventura, California. Dr. Della Maggiore then completed her small animal internal medicine residency at UC Davis, and became ACVIM board certified in internal medicine. She was quickly offered and accepted a position to practice veterinary internal medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at the UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital, lending her professional internal medicine expertise to clinical teaching and service.

Dr. Della Maggiore works in conjunction with the referring veterinarians of the greater Sacramento and outlying foothills, such as Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and Grass Valley to provide high quality internal medicine services to their patients and clients.

Her veterinary medical interests include, but are not limited to small animal endocrinology, infectious and immune-mediated disease, as well as minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Dr. Della Maggiore has lectured both internationally and nationally in the area of canine and feline internal medicine, specifically endocrinology. Dr. Della Maggiore has written several book chapters and journal articles.
