Dr. Harrod graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded the Gentle Doctor Award by her peers. Dr. Harrod started working in general practice after veterinary school and then made a transition to emergency and critical care medicine after nearly two decades of experience in general practice. She enjoys the challenges of helping patient families work through the difficulties of critical care. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, backpacking, and traveling. She shares these adventures with her three children, two cats, and a very unruly Labrador.
