Dr. Ronald Koh is a board-certified veterinarian in sports medicine and rehabilitation with a strong focus on pain management and integrative medicine. His passion lies in providing individualized patient care to optimize clinical outcomes and enhance quality of life, particularly in managing pain, mobility issues, and chronic conditions. To augment his ability to successfully treat his patients, Dr. Koh is also certified in veterinary acupuncture, rehabilitation, pain management, medical manipulation, herbal medicine, food therapy, and hospice and palliative care. He has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on these topics. He is a globally recognized speaker and mentor in acupuncture, integrative medicine, rehabilitation, and pain management and thoroughly enjoys teaching students how to apply these techniques to their future practice.
Currently, Dr. Koh is a professor at Chi University, where he teaches acupuncture, rehabilitation, pain management, and manual therapy, and developed the rehabilitation CCRV certification program. Previously, he spent 11 years in academic roles, serving as clinical faculty at Louisiana State University and later at the University of California, Davis. He remains committed to advancing evidence-based practices in veterinary rehabilitation and integrative medicine.
Of special note, Dr. Koh is one of only five small animal Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation in California (the only one in Greater Sacramento).
